She also frequently directs and shoots advertorials for commercial clients, which have included names such as Nike, Benefit, Dove, Stella Artois, Esquire and Timex. Why I chose Silvia:
The reason why I chose to study the work of Silvia Olsen was due to the way her website stood out to me placing words in a cleverly structured way. Although Olsen is mainly a fashion photographer, shooting Street Style for Vogue and Elle, when looking deeper into her personal photography I found that she had taken many images related to travelling and also conforming to the Journey topic. One of the reasons her work stood out to me was due to the clarity of her work. Every image I have seen her take appears to be of the highest quality, with flawless editing and bright bold colours. These eye catching images include models walking around London in bright clothes showcasing the street style, iconic scenery from America and the calmest images of beaches. Nearly all of her images differ in their style, yet the topic of photography remains the same. For example, she cleverly showcases the hustle and bustle of the busiest cities in the world. By using bold colours and enhancing every image in Photoshop by changing their contrast, it makes the audience remember her work and allows it to stick out from the rest. As a photographer, Silvia Olsen is the perfect all rounder as she takes images in all aspects of photographer. Whether it be landscapes, portraits or street photography, they are edited flawless and explore a range of different perceptions a place can show.
