Ben Gold
http://www.bengold.co.uk/photos/lifescapes/journeys
Ben Gold's images are striking to me as they truly conform to what you would expect of the Journey topic. He takes pictures from inside his car, and often uses both the sides and the rear view mirrors to do so. I feel like he conforms to the Journey topic as he uses the car, which is an object which literally connotes a journey. His work stood out to me as I found the idea incredibly creative, while also using images which held a lot of power and meaning.

Clement Balavoine
http://clementbalavoine.com/JOURNEY-PHOTOGRAPHY
Clement Balavoine's photography is a different style of Journey, and all of his work that relates is done so in black and white. He takes photographs of the places that he visits, and shows his journeys through the different cultures and by different still images. I find his work interesting, and the black and white holds a lot of depth and power.

Jacob Maentz

Jacob Maentz work stands out to me by taking images of different scenes and showing the journey within each individual photograph. In the photograph below, there is an example of the type of work he does. One of the men is there standing still, while the other is going about his duties and abiding by his job. We can see him walking away, yet the image is still showing his literal movement. He also explores many different parts of the world in his journey and travel images, while also capturing a range of landscapes.

Mitchell Kanashkevich
http://www.mitchellkphotos.com
Mitchell Kanashkevich takes images which show a range of different diverse cultures. In the images on their website, they are very colourful and vibrant which are enhanced and explored by the spectator. The images hold so much colour and busyness, that it is almost as though he is placing you at the scene of these diverse nations. I would like to explore his work further as I have always wanted to study the different cultures of places, and look at how photography can have an impact when you travel the world.

Robert Leon
http://www.robertleon.com
Robert Leons images are much more raw in the way that he shows the world exactly how it is. He is a travel photographer, and travels to some of the poorest nations of the world capturing their everyday life. Again, like the other photographers in this research log, he does so in a way which entices the audience to his work. His images are also edited in a way that show a lot of meaning.

Laurent Roch
http://www.laurentroch.com/fr/accueil.html
Laurent Roch is a street photographer from France, and captures a journey amongst the public in their everyday life. A lot of his work takes a single place, setting or background and uses the public to tell a story or to give the image a purpose. The work of Laurent Roch stands out to me as I want to look at street photography in my journeys, by covering a range of different landscapes and also placing the public in these surroundings. As you can see from the images below, he takes two very different settings but makes them work. Particularly the feelings of calmness and tranquility that come from the image of the man sat on the beach.

Fabio Costa

Fabio Costa is a Brazilian photographer who is now living in Paris. He photographs everyday life, and has photographed every day for the past 10 years. He publishes his best street and journey work online, to showcase a range of different environments and often compares both rural and urban life. He has made photography a lifetime project and intends to shoot every day for the rest of his life. His work is focused on street photography and graphics, however the work I am looking towards is his landscape and street photography. The image below of NYC is one of my favourite images by a photographer of all time.

Martin Molinero

Martin Molinero is another street photographer, who goes on journeys to different places but mainly photographs the typical 'American Dream'. His images are much like his work below, where he is shown to be going on road trips and using the formal element element of colour to boldly document his day to day findings.

Ed Peters
http://www.epetphoto.com
Ed Peters is a travel photographer who documents different worldwide scenes. When he travels and lives in these different countries, he explores street photography but also looks at different crises around the world. For example, his most notable work includes studying and exploring the famine in Somalia, war in the former Yugoslavia, and the continuing AIDS crisis. He does so in a way which both teaches the viewer but visually allows them to understand the different scenarios in other countries in the world. Having lived in America, he is able to look into them from a Western point of view which makes it easier for the viewers to see the true extent of someone looking in.

Silvia Olsen
http://silviaolsenphotography.com/#/portfolio/published/asos/0
Silvia Olsen is one of my favourite street photographers who uses both locations and fashions combined. Her work includes Fashion events from major cities such as Milan, Paris, London and New York. I love the idea of shooting street style in the same way that Silvia Olsen does as I feel there is a good market for it. However, it would be extremely challenging to take images in the same style to capture a diverse range of models in one place. I wish to explore the work of Silvia Olsen and link my previous knowledge of Beauty and Fashion to different places and diverse locations.

Sandra Semburg
http://www.sandrasemburg.com
Sandra Semburg is another photographer who specialises in Street Style, and she visits many different cities around the world while photographing the style of other tourists. For example, in London she photographed many different models who were either French or dressed in a theme stereotypically associated with France. I feel like this work is unique, and having photographed in partnership with Vogue, her work stands out to me as evidently being the best in this style of photography. The journey is highlighted through the use of different locations and backgrounds and the photographer going to different locations to photograph her work.

Melanie Galea
http://www.thestreetmuse.it
Melanie takes most of her images down the middle of streets, and follows the same conventions as other artists. There seems to be more use of possessions as appose to people in her work and it feels like sometimes the location is lost. However, I still find her work interesting to look at and unique in the sense of adventure and minimum depth of field which seems to come out of most of her images.

Victoria Adamson
http://www.victoriaadamson.com/street-style-london
Victoria Adamson takes most of her work on Street Style and I feel like her work is very repetitive to that I have already studied in this research log. Although she does take images from different angles and focuses on taking images of a models different body parts - which could be useful should I be able to develop my work and take images in this style. I find her work extremely bold and colourful, and although she chooses models with a style fit to contrast with the location behind her.

Jacob James
http://jacobjamesphotography.co.uk
A travel photographer who goes on different journeys and captures a range of different shots in each of his shoots. He has a nice range of images, such as portrait shots and also landscape images. Some of his work includes people of the places where he is photographing which make his images stand out to me.

Mihaela Noroc
"I think beauty goes beyond trends, ethnicity or social status. It’s something that comes from inside too, inspiring serenity and humanity. It’s next to us, every day, even in a time of conflicts and intolerance. We just have to see it." Mihaela Noroc's quote for her project 'The Atlas of Beauty'. In her work, she travels around the globe and takes different portraits of people from all different backgrounds and ethnicities. I particularly love this project and has stood out to me since I first saw it last year. If it wasn't for the different ethnicities, I think the work would become slightly boring, however she captures the images in such a way they stand out to me as being beautiful.
Kenkamine Sky
http://www.kenkaminesky.com/#!/index
Kenkamine Sky's work is almost apocalyptic in form in regards to the way in which it challenges the normal tranquil scene we would expect from the travel industry. He uses bold colours to make his work stand out from the others, and also enhances all of the colours of his work in such a way which makes them unique to him. Kenkamine is one of my favourite landscape photographers as everything has been edited so well that it almost appears too good to be true. I wish to study the work of Sky in greater detail and aspire to make some images similar to his in the future.
Gavin Gough
http://portfolio.gavingough.com
Gavin Gough takes unedited images which show poverty around the world. There is a massive contrast between this and the other images in which I have studied by other photographs. The work of Gough seems to be less manipulated, and instead captures people in the poorest areas of the world. He also has spent a lot of time photographing the damage left after a war or a natural disaster has struck. I find this work intriguing and it makes his work stand out to me as being different and an unmediated version of the world around us.
Ulli Maier and Nisa Maier
http://www.maierandmaierphotography.com/portfolio/
Ulli Maier and Nisa Maier are a mother and daughter duo who both live in Austria. Having started photographing at the age of just 15, Ulli now shares her passion with her daughter which is clearly explored through there style of photography. I love the work of Maier and Maier, as I feel it is produced at an extremely high standard and the images come across always in perfect quality.

Rob Howard
http://robhoward.com/#work-section
Rob Howard focuses on people going on journeys in between their daily lives. The image below shows the style of work in which Rob photographs, which include him taking photographs of normal everyday people doing their daily activities. However, by doing so it appears that he asks the models have been asked to pose in their positioning.
Laura Austin
http://www.lauraaustinphoto.c
Laura Austin is a photographer who takes the journey literally again, by taking images of aspects that relate to what you would expect on a journey. One of my favourite studies of her is 'How to survive a Roadtrip', in which she documents her journey on a road trip and posts images like the one below. The feeling of isolation that emits from her images is truly something that hasn't been seen before in my eyes.
